Vintage/Grunge Envelope Folio with Jen (Coolwaters November 2024 Retreat Class ONLY)
This class is all about creating a folio / journal / ephemera holder from envelopes – new or recycled.
Jen will show you how to create the basic structure, then you can “go for it” with pockets, flips, flaps or
even photo type layout pages.
You will be using vintage book pages, scrapbooking papers, wallpaper, even maybe some fabric and
lace. (your kit will include some “snippets”, but feel free to bring what you have (we all have a stash,
after all!)
There is no such thing as a mistake with this type of project – let your creativity flow!
Each project will be different – I will give some examples for additions and embellishment, then you
decide.

Instructor Bio:
Here is a little note from Jen & the class she will be teaching ~
I would describe the project as a vintage / grunge envelope folio. I have always enjoyed crafts of varying types, more recently sewing quilts and handbags. Then, a couple of years ago we were travelling overseas with some family members, and I wanted to make us all travel journals. That started me down the rabbit hole of journaling and album making. I especially like recycling - making 'junk' journals from old book pages, maps and so on. While I have not done much scrapbooking, I feel like that meshes well with journaling and album making. I would describe my style as vintage grunge with some steampunk thrown in as well.
This will be Jen's first time teaching and we are very excited to have her! She has joined us at all of our retreats so far and really gets into the spirit of things LOL
